Elvis BrothersFire In The CityRock America Dance September 1983
Power pop trio (and sometimes quartet) that got its start in Champaign, Illinois, in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Members: Rob Elvis (guitar, vocals) Graham Elvis (bass, vocals) Brad Elvis (drums) Adam Schmitt Randy Seals
The Elvis Brothers were a power pop trio (with a hint of rockabilly and roots rock) comprised of Rob Elvis (guitar, vocals), Graham Elvis (bass, vocals) and Brad Elvis (drums). Formed in the early '80s in Chicago, the band released a pair of albums for Portrait (Movin' Up in 1983 and Adventure Time in 1985) that, while not groundbreaking, were well-crafted pop, highly regarded in power pop circles. The Brothers were dropped from Portrait mid-'80s after some personell changes at the label left them without support. The original line-up returned in 1992 with the limited edition Now Dig This for the independent Recession label. Recession also reissued the first two albums on one compact disc. Both Graham and Brad continued making music, Graham as a solo act and Brad in the band Big Hello.
