American pop punk/alternative rock band from Waldorf, MD, USA, formed in 1996. Since 1998, the band's constant members have been lead vocalist Joel Madden, lead guitarist and back-up vocalist Benji Madden, bassist Paul Thomas and rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Billy Martin. Their current drummer and percussionist is Dean Butterworth, who has been a member of the band since 2005. The band has released six studio albums: "Good Charlotte", "The Young and the Hopeless", "The Chronicles of Life and Death", "Good Morning Revival", "Cardiology" and, after a five-year hiatus, "Youth Authority". Furthermore, the band has released two compilations: "Greatest Remixes" and "Greatest Hits".
